Enertex® ViTa KNX – Presence redefined. Invisible within the push button. The Enertex® ViTa KNX presence detector combines state-of-the-art radar technology with an elegant, unobtrusive push-button design. Unlike conventional presence detectors, it is not mounted on the ceiling but replaces a classic wall-mounted push button at standard operating height. The familiar push-button function is fully retained. Thanks to its discreet appearance, the ViTa KNX blends harmoniously into any interior design—entirely without the conspicuous lens typical of classic PIR detectors. The high-quality solid aluminum frames from the Enertex “AluRa” series harmonize perfectly with the sophisticated design of the Enertex MeTa² KNX room controller. The rocker switches used are from the JUNG A series. Alternatively, frames from the JUNG A series or inserts for the JUNG LS series can be used (separate order number for the LS series).

ViTa – Vital movement detection at the highest level The name ViTa stands for Vital Movement Detection Push Button. Its high detection performance is based on modern 60 GHz radar technology. The short wavelength enables reliable detection of even millimeter-scale movements. With three detection zones, the ViTa KNX provides easy-to-configure detection. For directional movements, it can identify the direction of motion and distinguish whether a person is approaching or moving away from the detector.

Optimized for complex room situations Unlike conventional presence detectors, the ViTa KNX exhibits high sensitivity not only horizontally but also vertically—upwards and downwards relative to the installation position. This makes it particularly suitable for stairwells and multi-level areas, as people are reliably detected as soon as they enter the stairwell. As a pure motion detector, it impresses with an exceptionally wide detection angle of nearly 180° (horizontal and vertical). This makes the ViTa KNX ideal for use in door areas: the detector responds immediately when the door is opened and reliably switches on the light.

Flexible wall mounting without ceiling installation Installation offers a high degree of flexibility. The ViTa KNX can be installed at heights of approximately 1.1 m, 1.4 m, or higher or lower without impairing detection quality. As the detector is wall-mounted, complex ceiling installation is completely eliminated, while it remains fully operable as a standard wall push button.

Detection ranges depending on type of movement Movement is detected frontally at distances of up to 10 meters; laterally as well as upwards and downwards, the effective detection distance is up to 4 meters. The presence of a standing person is reliably detected up to approximately 6 meters, while a stationary person is detected up to 3 meters.

More than presence – integrated sensors and KNX functionality Beyond pure presence and motion detection, the ViTa KNX measures temperature, humidity, and brightness using integrated sensors. Two additional inputs enable further applications, for example window contacts, external push buttons, or temperature sensors. In addition, a status LED can be controlled via KNX for indication purposes (light sensor function significantly limited). An additional logic module provides further flexibility for system integration. Discreet in design, powerful in function
