## Time-based dimming

With the KO ***Time-based dimming Start/Stop*** a sequence can be triggered that adjusts brightness depending on the time of day.

### Sequences and dimming Telegrams

Configure whether active sequences:

* Are interrupted by dimming telegrams, or
* Ignore them.

When active, KOs ***Relative dimming*** and ***Absolute dimming*** can be ignored by setting *Behavior on incoming dimming telegrams when a sequence is active* to *Locked (No reaction)*.
Using *Execute action with fallback to time-based dimming* triggers the value and then resumes the sequence after a *Fallback Time*.

### Sequences and Scenes

Activating a scene or bit scene always stops the sequence. It must be restarted via ***Time-based dimming Start/Stop*** KO.

### Pausing Sequences

If *Behavior with control object "Stop"* is set to *Stop sequence*, the current brightness remains and only the sequence stops.

### Time Points

Define brightness values for different times. Linear interpolation is used between points.
If device time is invalid, brightness defaults to 100%.

Enabling this function allows *Time-based value* as *Switch-on behavior* for the channel.
