## Lock functions

The lock function is activated via the respective KO.
A defined behavior for the locked state can be set for each function.

*As before* refers to the brightness value before the lock, for both *Lock* and *Unlock*.
The *Switch-on value* refers to the *Switch-on behavior* parameter in the *Channel settings*.

### Example: Staircase Cleaning

Prevents stairway lighting from turning off automatically — useful during cleaning.
Define *Action Lock (1)* as *Switch-on value* or a *Brightness value*, and *Action Unlock (0)* as *Disabled* to maintain light until manually turned off.

### Example: Preventing Changes

*As before* freezes the current brightness, preventing changes during the lock.

### Example: Time-based dimming

To return to time-based brightness after unlocking, choose *Switch-on value* for *Action Unlock (0)*.
Time-based dimming must be enabled and *Switch-on behavior* set to *Time-based Value*.
The time-based dimming sequence will not automatically resume after unlock.
