## Protective shutdown

Here, a protection function can be configured to protect light sources from thermal overload, etc.
The values for *Continuous power*, *Overload capability*, and *Maximum duration overload* must be set accordingly.

The alarm KOs ***Protective shutdown continuous power exceeded***, ***Protective shutdown I²t value exceeded***, and ***Protective shutdown maximum power exceeded*** are triggered based on these settings.

Whether the channel should shut down for each alarm is defined via the *Activate protective shutdown* parameter.
If enabled, ***Alarm Overcurrent*** is also triggered and indicated via display or yellow LED.

* *Continuous power*: The maximum continuous operating power.
* *Overload capability*: The percent above continuous power allowed briefly.
* *Maximum duration overload*: Duration overload is permitted before shutdown.
