### Convention

The following conventions apply in this context help:

* Parameters are written in *italics*.
* Communication objects are abbreviated as KO.
* When referring to KOs, they are set ***bold italic***.
* When referring to parameter groups (tabs on the left in the list), they are shown in **bold**.
* Headings of the same size as the above "Convention" are used to structure the explanations.
* Headings of the next size such as "Device settings" always refer to identically named parameter headers.

### Device settings

This application is for both variants (8-channel and 4-channel) of the Enertex HV Dimmer. The selection box adjusts the application to the corresponding number of channels.

The setting *Operating Mode* defines whether and how the channels should be controlled in parallel to increase the channel output power.
Changing the *Operating Mode* will reset the counters of the channels as well as measured load types and control curves.

Individual channels can also be hidden via the selection boxes.

### Connection Fusing

Since the neutral conductor terminals within the device are NOT connected, each neutral conductor must be wired individually for each channel.

It is permissible to distribute the 8 channels across differently pre-fused residual-current circuit breakers (RCDs).
The phases L1, L2, and L3 can be chosen arbitrarily for each channel.

The device is powered solely via the bus and therefore does not require phase voltage for commissioning via ETS (assignment of physical address or program download).
